Founded in 1881, the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (“HIAS”) is America’s first refugee service organization. For over 120 years HIAS has worked to rescue those in peril, reunite families in freedom, and enable newcomers to build new lives with hope and prosperity. HIAS reserves the right to change this and any other policy on the HIAS website at any time, and will post any changes on the HIAS website as soon as possible after any change is made. By accessing or using this website, you signify that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by the terms of this policy whether or not you are a registered user of HIAS. If at any time you do not agree to abide by these or any future terms, do not use or access this website.
Personal Information
HIAS is committed to protecting your privacy. HIAS does collect personal information from users (such as an individual’s name, address, telephone number, credit card information, or e-mail address) in association with donations, user registration, newsletters and other activities, when relevant. HIAS also uses personal information to communicate with registered users. For example, HIAS might use your personal information to send you our newsletter or to solicit funds.

Use of Site by Children

HIAS will not, under any circumstances, knowingly collect and retain information from children under 13 without parental consent, except in limited circumstances authorized under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”).
